H - Happiness
Long time no see little blog! Although you're not so little really are you... The 'page views' are beginning to rack up!
I hate doing the introductionary parts... So I'm just gonna get on into it! (You can tell I'm bad -apparently introductionary isn't even a word)
I thought today I'd make a list of things that make me happy - and then we'll see where we go from there.
- Lists. Something about organisation and bullet points... Gosh can't beat it really.
- The sky. The colours. The infinity-ness of it
- My 'christian club' at school. The people, the atmosphere, it's all just rather lovely
- Messages that say 'this reminded me of you' or 'was thinking of you'
- Colour order
- Dressing gowns
- Taking socks off
- Deep chats with the right people
- Being awake late into the night with someone. There's something so special about those moments
- Hugs
- Smiles. Extra points for smiles you can't control
- 'Giggle fits' - although maybe my teacher didn't enjoy them, uncontrollably laughing in her lessons we some of my favourite things
- Jewellry, particularly bracelets and earrings
- Twiddling with necklaces
- Scrolling through tumblr
- Lanyards we have to wear in sixth form. I feel like such and adult!
- Tickling people (in the most INNOCENT WAY EVER OK. Tickling little children and seeing them erupt into laughter is so special)
- Little children in general. Some people get energy from being around people, some from being alone; I get mine from being with little children
- Teaching.
- Seeing people really listening to what you say and trying to understand
- Teacher's who take the time to use your name
- Hysterical laughter with friends
- Doing things as a teenager that children are expected to do. Crafts, trips to the farm, buying magazines
- COLOURING
- When somebody on tumblr has a really good organisation tagging system
- Listening to Christian music/ reading the bible. It's nice to know why we're really here!
- Saying something and knowing that's EXACTLY what you meant to say
- Character development
- QUOTES
- Looking back on happy memories
When I started writing this list I was in a bit of a bad mood. I struggled to start. But now that I started, I was hard to stop. I like that. You look for the good, and you're met with more. It's all about your view point. Perhaps there will be more happy lists soon?
So I challenge you: get a sheet of a4 paper and make a mindmap/ list of things that make you happy. Go on. They don't have to be the best things ever. It's the little things that count.
H - you've been good to me.
